Born in Barcelona. After finishing high school he studied in London at CSM and then Theatre in Madrid. Currently he studies an MA in Cinema and Philosophy at the UPF in Barcelona. 

Now he works in Barcelona where he produces his own work at the same time that he participates in different projects form different disciplines. 

Barquero is constantly  swinging between painting, theatre, cinema and other disciplines... Believing that to get closer to his world, he must approach the pieces from different perspectives.

About his paintings

​

Barquero´s paintings start from the defeat of humans and society, posing scenes of magic realism and brutalism. Humanoid figures, often, without genere, walking through desolate and empty landscapes, hopeless. A mirror of the contemporary world, where survival  has become the only way of living.
