STATEMENT

My practice operates at the intersection of photography, sculpture, and performance.

​

At its core is cyanotype, a historical photographic process through which I explore the materiality of the image and its interplay with the body and space.

I am particularly interested in how textile techniques can transform the photographic image during its making and translate it into sculptural contexts. The monochromatic blue of cyanotype defines the visual language of my work, while the use of UV light allows me to develop a practice that is independent of location.

​My work explores the relationship between humans and urban space.

By transferring surfaces, such as concrete facades, onto textile substrates, I create hybrid objects that bring together the static and dynamic dimensions of photography.

Through this process, my practice reflects on both the materiality of the medium and the ways in which images shape perception and identity.
