STATEMENT

​

My work has always focused on analyzing the different agents that shape the landscape—whether economic, social, or historical—from a psychogeographic perspective. That is, through a mixed process of theoretical and field research. These investigations have materialized at times through the idea of installative painting, and at others in a traditional painting format.

BIO

​

​Tomás Pizá (Palma de Mallorca, 1983) studied architecture and fine arts between Madrid, Milan, and Alghero. In 2009, he obtained a degree in Fine Arts and in 2012 qualified as an architect in Madrid.
From 2017 to 2019, he attended the unofficial Turps Painting Programme in London. After that, he returned to Mallorca, where he currently lives and works in Palma. He teaches Building Engineering at the UIB and Fine Arts at ADEMA-UIB, combining teaching and contemporary art with the professional practice of architecture.
